Burning Brakes
I've really been thinking about adding a roll bar or 3/4 cage. I still want to be able to drive it on the street, so full cage is a problem.

You do realize that 40 hours of racing use is like doing 2x 24hrs of LeMans races back to back. Even finishing one of those is an accomplishment for a built motor, let alone two. Jason can speak better about this but 40 hours of racing use is probably an equal amount of stress as 30-40k miles of street use.
I see a street only driven Katech engine lasting longer than you'd probably own the car (assuming the driver is checking oil levels, changing the oil and not stomping on the accelerator 2 seconds after the car starts while the engine is cold).

I don't have a pic of the power steering pump, but it looks just like the production pump on the outside. It doesn't come with a pulley.
We do calibrations on the engine dyno and Vector Motorsports handles the in-car side on the chassis dyno.

Any engine needs refreshing after 'x' amount of track/race usage. 40 hours is on the prudent side as pistons no matter who makes them only last so long. Many engines can go longer depending on the driver's habits but it's much cheaper to refresh it than to replace it.

Werks, 40 hours of road racing is like hundreds of thousands of miles of street use. If you drive your built engine on the street only and maintain it properly you should see well over 100,000 miles before complete overhaul.

Thanks for all the congrats and I feel much better knowing that Mike has already shown the car around Autobahn. Maybe when I show up for Track Attack I can nap behind the wheel and let the car show me the line ☺
Looks like all the questions got answered. Tomorrow I drive up there and ill be waiting at Katech's door when they one Monday. A week from now I'll be on track again terrorizing the Audi and Porsche guys.

Here's a little on track video from her maiden event. This was at Summit Point main yesterday with the Audi club. All I can is WOW that motor is strong!
For comparison the head instructor had a tuned 997 GT2 on slicks. He was the only car faster out there but even after slowing to give him a point by on the main straight I was able to accelerate and match his pace for the rest of the straight. He was also a MUCH better driver than me so I tried to keep up as long as I could to watch. I'll try to dig that video out later and post it.
