Default Stock ZR1?1.524 60ft- 10.260@135.35mph

Well the rumors are true. I made a solo run to MIR this morning. Last minute decision at 12am last night. I went down due to the air was great and wanted to get another run in before the mods start going on. I made 2 total runs partially due to they werent showing 60fts so I didnt know if it was a good 60ft or not to run out the run

Well run number 20minutes after driving 3hours there. Aired the rear tires down to 17psi cool. Launch 5000+rpms. Car also had all my tools in the car cause I had no one to put them with Maybe 20lbs but its something LOL! Car also had just over 1/4tank of gas I like to have 1/8 or less on my best runs

60ft-1.548
330ft-4.346
1/8mi-6.671
1/8mph-106.37
1000ft-8.664
1/4mi-10.345
1/4mph-134.30

Clutch hazed pretty good so I changed the clutch fluid, let the car sit cause it was pretty warm for the drive down. I went back up to the line for my 2nd run and ended up being the last

60ft-1.524
330ft-4.313
1/8mi-6.613
1/8mph-107.45
1000ft-8.591
1/4mi-10.260
1/4mph-135.35

A couple notes about the day run/car. I do not have side skirts still due to receiving 2 sets of flawed side skirts. The car has the clutch spring removed from the clutch pedal so the clutch is stiffer. I took the plastic shroud that sits around the supercharger off and put it in the back of the car. I also ate a Reeses pieces this morning with a Diet Dr.Pepper before racing. No other food was used for these runs partially cause I'm fat

Other notes: This was definitely not a optimal run. The shifts werent spot on, the launch was damn good but small room for improvement, the head wind doesnt help, the car having more fuel and tools in the car is minimul but its something when you are looking for every .01's. Other bummer is since I went to the track by myself I only have my gopro video and the pics of the car and slips. I also was hugged by 2 men after this run. One of them had a KB blue Mustang GT. We were all stoked and man hugs are important to have IMO. After this run I felt no need to fine tune the rest of the run. My wife had foot surgery yesterday so I sped home to be typing here with her

Don't forget he also removed the carbon fiber side skirts. That has to be at least a 150lb weight savings and much smoother aerodynamics!

I'm dumbfounded.
I have no words.

Bruce and those who designed/engineered/built the AMAZING Corvette C6 ZR1, this is for you.

Appears to have excessive wax for better aero-bogus run!

Default And now for some analysis....

DA at 11.24 am at MIR per drag times was 41 degrees, 33% humidity, baro of 30.56 = 15 psi...(1,797) DA. Record setting weather for sure.

Launch started at 5600 and dropped to 4500 RPM before the car moved...evidently the ETC wasn't scanned on this run so I don't have gas pedal position...but I can surmise from the boost graph that the pedal was floored at 5600 rpm and the drop until the car moved (.2 seconds) was caused by some acceleration based rev limiter.

FARTPIPE what was your launch accelerator pedal technique? I am very curious as to why the car always stops revving when the pedal is floored at the launch but before you let off the clutch.

The car had a degree of knock throughout 3rd gear, at about 25.5 degrees advance. The car had 4 degrees of knock throughout 4th gear down to 3 degrees by the end of 4th, at about 21 degrees commanded. ECT went from 185 at the start of the run to 190 at the end of the run.

Pre-blower IAT started at 84 degrees and went to 82 by the end of the run. Post blower IAT started at 97 degrees and went to 111 by the end of the run.

Boost was 24.5 psi (avg) - baro of 15 = 9.5 psi of boost. Better than the last time.

The 1-2 shift took about .39 seconds @ 6827 rpm (I think Fartpipe went clutch in before letting off the gas), virtually no wheel spin. The 2-3 shift took about .26 seconds @ 6939 rpm, 6 mph wheel spin. The 3-4 shift took about .22 seconds @ 6725 rpm, 6 mph wheel spin. The 3-4 shift was nearly a flat shift...only a slight release of the gas pedal.

0-60 time was 2.465 seconds. 0-65 time was 2.69 seconds. 0-130 time was 8.68 seconds, and 0-145 time was 10.81 seconds. That, folks, is fast.

FARTPIPE, congrats again. A fantastic run. We can speculate how another hundredth could be taken off the run...but we have to tip our hat to another day of fantastic driving by FARTPIPE.

Not sure whats happening with the throttle there. I logged 2 runs hopefully today. Did they both show knock? I'm really shocked at the KR on a stock tune, pump gas car. But we all know what happens with gas sometimes

So we say 100octane, skinnies, passenger seat out, better shifting, no head wind, lower gas level, same air conditions, perfect launch could see a???????

What is the stock rev limiter on the LS9? You are showing over 6900rpm on the upshift? Wow.

I got .2 consistently from skinnies, low on fuel, and seat out.

I think if you snuck up on the throttle to 6500 before flooring it and launching, and you flat shifted, in weather like today (1,787) DA, with passenger seat out, super low on fuel, 1 gallon of 100 octane....

9.995.

Yea she was knocking on the first run too. Not as bad, only 2 degrees in 4th.

It's very possible. As we all know once you're already down that low the tenths don't just fall away quite as easily as they do when one is running only 14s/13s, but that could be the correct recipe.
I would add a pulley swap (Upper? Lower? Not sure what's more popular there but nothing crazy needed either way) and full dyno tuning in there for good measure then you might be ready to rock.

Its pretty normal to see knock on a stock configuration, and Id bet a dollar its a little richer then you'd think.

Its great to have a race car right out of the box

Beautiful runs. I hope you didnt get in trouble when you got home lol
