Have you guys been driving the ZR1. Have you had this happen yet. It looks like everyone with them are having problems with the axles.

Its nice to want things. Why would you need another tranny. The stock ZR1 tranny is where its at!

You feel that it's not worth it? I was just thinking of doing it because the 1st gear upgrade. If not im just going to wait until I blow the rear end and just fix it like you guys are doing

The car dead hooked. Andrew and Wormy had them VHT the track. It took that to break it. I dont know what your doing or HP goal so I really cant tell you if its worth it or not. Right now we like the ZR1 tranny as is. In the end its really up to you and your goals. For the roll races that we are doing now the ZR1 tranny is it!

We are going to push the car to it's limit with the stock blower for now.

It going to see mostly hwy rolls but do want to get it to the track to set some records. I will most likley wait anyways. I need a drag pak and trailer for the track.

I think on the tranny Joe is right for what it is. The quicker gear really makes it difficult to launch the car due to the wheel speed and drag radials. We had a very hard time getting any bite out of the track with a hard launch. Danny was able to launch very hard everytime with a little wheel spin until the last pass that made it 2" Now if there was any possible way to get an 18" inch slick on it the upgraded trans will be killer. Im just not wanting to drop unneccesary money for spindles/fabricating them cutting this, buying new rims and a 15" slick.

I am done with mine, really not much more I could do performance wise without really digging in to the motor. I am happy so I am waiting for my new wheels to show up so I can ride.

Also if any of you guys come across a 5.0 Coyote motor and harness let me know, I need 1

Andrew

Thanks for the info Andrew. Im going to pass on it then I don't want to go as far as changing spindles and brakes. I want to keep it as a street car and not a street/race car. For that I get a fox body and add a coyote motor for the track
