[ZR1] So I finally cracked my front splitter...

I've come to terms with the fact that I am eventually going to break mine. Honestly there is no fixing it. Only replacing it. Watch who you buy from because the weave may not match in the carbon and it won't look that great.

I'm a club member I can definitely not recommend RPI! Apsis still working with but the wait is rediculous and I should've have recieved a flawed set in the 1st place IMO. Not at the prices people are charging. I am keeping a heavier but there for looks fiberlgass cianci one on the car until I go to sell my car. I'm not risking breaking that damn carbon fiber one!!!

When I hit a deer back in October I was surprised that there was no external, visible damage to my splitter. It did however pull through a few of the washers/screws securing it. The body shop put on a new one (~$2200 for the GM OEM splitter as I recall, don't have the paperwork handy) and I'm keeping the original if I ever need to replace another one.

We currently produce replica ZR1 Splitters at great prices! We also just revamped our mold lineup so the parts are just like OEM

Broke mine in the first week, right at the middle point. It's kind of hard to tell - I know if I replace it, I'll break it again. Easy to find a replacement when I really need one.

I was afraid there was no fixing it.
I've always been really careful, but I guess it is bound to happen! Shame they aren't stronger!

I am extremely happy with the quality of my Katech front splitter and side skirts.
The rear spoiler had some issues that I had to correct.
Not sure how well the carbon fiber weave matches the OEM ZR1 splitter but I recall a forum member doing a replacement and he was very pleased with the match.

ZR1 Splitter roundup...
Katech is on back order. Real carbon fiber so I assume it is comparable in weight. Don't know if the cf weave matches factory. Looks to be $775 shipped to SC.

THIS looks really neat!

C7 Carbon, This is a great price, $561 shipped! Don't know if it is "real" cf or what it weighs. Also don't know if it matches the factory weave.

Flyingbros quoted me $725 plus pp fees. It is real cf and only weighs 2# but they use 6k 2x2 carbon and oem uses 3k 2x2. Don't know if that will be noticeable or not.

GM Parts House has the OEM listed at $1,672 but I wasn't smart enough to figure out shipping for the splitter on their site. :-(

RPI. $704 shipped. Says it is real cf, don't know if the weave matches. Bad review From FARTPIPE !?!?! above...

Southern Car Parts, $1,100 shipped. Looks nice. Real cf.

That's what I have for now, any tips, reviews, opinions or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
So far Katech looks like a reliable, well priced unit but C7 Carbon's price is outstanding if it is comparable in quality.

I orded one from TKO and it was $499.70 shipped to Oklahoma. I ordered and paid for it Feb 23. I still dont have it. The site said nothing about it not being in stock. When I contacted TKO on March 3, they said they would contact the mfg and let me know expected ship date. I contaced them again on 3/9/12, and have yet to hear another word from them. The price was the best I could find, but I am not very happy about waiting three weeks plus to get it!
