Killer Chiller......anyone try this?
Curious to see if anyone has tried this, and if so how well does it work?

I have one coming to add to my ZR1. I might be the only one here for now until it's on the car to see how well it works. We feel it's going to work well. The one im using is InterSuperChiller

I have used the Killer Chiller, both on SVT Cobra's, and Supercharged Cobalts.
They do work good but found they work better if you block off factory heat exchanger. This is because it was heating the intercooler fluid back up after running through the KC unit.
The best temps we have seen on a Ion Redline with modified intake, no heat exchanger getting direct air and the KC on, with a TVS 1320 running a 2.7" pulley (21psi) are sub ambient. IE IAT 1 90 deg F. IAT 2 70 Deg F. After 4 back to back pulls from 1st to 4th we are at ambient air temps. \
I know this is not a ZR1 but it works the same way. Joe Kincaid of KC is currently doing a setup for us on a Kenny Bell SRT8 Challenger.
Also keep in mind some drag strips prohibet AC use as they worry about the condensation dripping onto the track. Just something we have come across.

We are planing to go back to the stock cooler and remove the big cooler. If you leave or add a bigger cooler it will not work as well

What we have done with good success is to increase the intercooler resevoir size substantially, this gives you increased coolant that takes much longer to heat up, where having too little coolant begins to really warm up and the KC unit can not keep up. The more intercooler fluid that can be cooled, the longer the charged air will see benefits as it takes longer to heat up.

Soon my friend.. Talking to Taylor yesterday he offered to take it out now to get it to you but we both thought it would be better to wait to make sure the chiller is working perfect. Don't want to take the chance that if we need to go back to the cooler & pump that I would need to buy everything again.
Thanks for being paitient. As you know it has your name on it
And don't worry about Fartpipe trying to offer more money for it. As you know he is a trader and now back in the Z06 section.
