I often wondered what "color" would best replicate the standard color of a rubber tire so the wheel matched nearly perfect to the tire; not be clashing like the dull appearance of a rubber tire against a glossy wheel. (Make sense?)

I have to agree with you 100%. I don't think we can give an honest opinion unless we know what color the OP's car is. Could be Gloss, Semi Gloss or Satin black?

Whatever the new body 3 series is, I think it's E92? Also looks to be a 335i not even an M3, but the wheels make a car!

Matte, gloss, semi gloss ... it's all a matter of taste and (also) depending on body color and wheel type, IMO. Mine are high gloss.

Semi gloss hands down! High gloss is too shiny and looks cheap.

Here is the pic of satin black(semi gloss) on my LMB Z.

I have semi - to somewhat flat and the brake dust sticks like mad. I now wished I had gotten more gloss.

No pics yet, but just put WCC 946 gloss black wheels on my Z. Looks great but the brake dust shows up after I leave my driveway!

I just switched to gloss black on my Z. It really compliments the paint well, especially if the car is black.

Here are few shot of mine when I had the black HRE's. I just dont think it would have looked as good in matte.

Get the best of both worlds. Gloss black lips with a satin black center.

Honestly, that is my favorite treatment of that wheel.

I agree! However, I will never understand the appeal of a huge #11 on the side of the door. Guess I'm the only one who feels this way.

gloss....squeaky clean

semi-gloss.....dusty/dirty not clean

^^^^^^SPECIFICALLY on a one piece wheel that is. Two/three piece wheel, different story
