Well, I just got a call from the dealer today and they said that GM cannot attribute the engine's failure to the tune; therefore I am getting a NEW ENGINE UNDER WARRANTY!!!! Thank GOD! Should have it back on Friday. This is the best news I've gotten since Osama Bin Laden got killed!

At a minimum, have the current one reflashed back to stock and annotated in the work order to prevent any future issues.

TrooperDLA, glad GM replaced your engine under warranty.
That was the right thing for GM to do, particularly since the "tune" pre-dated your ownership of the car,
and it was sold by a GM dealer as a CPO unit.
