Default Suspension noise

Best i can describe this noise is when hitting a bump it sounds like a chain rattling, any ideas. Sounds like its coming from front drivers side.

Check your shock mount up top - one of my nuts came off last year and the shock destroyed my wheel well -

Almost for sure sway bar link. Very common. GM will replace if still under the 3y/36k warranty. Next most likely is the exhaust hitting the tunnel plate. Third most likely is shock mounting.

You will not be able to reproduce the noise when stitting still (such as rocking the car by getting in and out, or pushing (carefully) on the fenders if it is sway bar link. Can't tell from underneath either. Do you hear the noise when going over bumps (speed bumps, driveways) at an angle (where one wheel moves more than the other side)? If so - end links for sure.

If it is the shock mount, getting in and out of the car or bouncing on the door sill should cause the noise.

Exahust should hitting the tunnel plate should be engine load dependent (getting on it in 1st or 2nd will cause the noise). Exhaust hitting something in the rear, should be able to grab the tail pipe and shake (not when its hot) to make the noise.

Pfadt and LG both make end links that are quiet. GM did improve theirs around mid 08.

Thx for the suggestions guys, it likely sounds like it might be sway bar link. Going for an oil change on Thursday at least now i have an idea to tell the dealer where to look.

My dealer was very good about it - replaced with no additional questions. I think it is pretty common, so should not be a surprise to them...
