Trading in my GT-R for a ZR1. Question.
Hey everyone,
I currently have a 12' GT-R and I am trading it in for a ZR1 soon. Test drove one a couple month ago and fell in love.
I am just wondering and a bit worried about the vibration issue that the ZR1 have. Is it fixable? Is there any problem of the car that I should beware of?
Thanks in advance!

Good decision !!! As others have said make sure you test drive the car before buying it. Test it good between 70 to 80 MPH. Keep it steady up and down between these speeds. Should be really smooth.
They're great cars. Find you one and start enjoying the beast !!!

Nice to know you are willing to take the training wheels off and drive a man's car! A simple test drive of the car should reveal any vibration. We are patiently waiting for pictures...

As everyone said drive the car and drive it for a WHILE on the highway, smooth roads as the ZR1 is a bit of a harsh feeling car. On rougher uneven roads its going to wander/shake more than the GTR so its hard to tell if its having the vibration or not when fighting to keep the steering wheel straight on uneven roads.
I think you're making a great choice. I'm sure you will be very happy with the ZR1. As gonabite states you will need some mods to make it feel like the GTR unless you like quick takes offs and 1st/2nd gear romps. Thats not gonna work with the ZR1 vs the GTR.

Thanks guys! The car is coming in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait!
I can not test drive it before I am importing the car from US. I'll make sure it will be test drove by a third party inspector tho.
Haha, It's not the look of the gt-r that I don't like. It's the overall driving experience. It's fast and it's very compotent. But i want something more engaging and fun to drive even when I am driving the car 10/10th.
Thanks for the reassurance!
Haha, looking forward to the challenge!
I think i'll do fine without major mods. Maybe some Akrapovic exhaust and a set of HRE and that's it. Do you know how to get more whine out of the supercharger tho?

Like i said, I don't mind the look of the GT-R. But it's too big and heavy and a bit boring to drive. Very fast and compotent tho!

I took my car to Paul motor company.
It's a shame that the s/c whine is muted.

The blower whine is much more noticeable on the CTS-V I have. I like it, but it drowns out the stock exhaust V8 rumble. I actually prefer the muted blower whine and LOUD exhaust on my ZR1.
If you want loud blower whine, add a smaller pulley to spin it faster. It'll scream then.
