3)axle seal leaked shortly after
4) replaced shifter

5)rear wheel bearing and bearing in diff failed at 95,000

just to inform about driving style...
35,000 on original tires
30,000 on next set of GY RF
probably will get 50,000 from generals!!

I LOVE MY CAR. IT STILL IS FLAWLESS IN AND OUT. I STILL GET THE LOOKS. MY WIFE STILL LOVES THE VIBE OF 505HP!!!

BETHANY:

Welcome to the website and CONGRATULATIONS on hitting the 100,000
mile mark with your Z06! I think you and jimman are the only two here I have seen with that many miles.

I wish I could get the miles you have on your Goodyear Tires! The most I have gotten is about 15,000.

Last time I talked to Jimman, (a coupla months ago) he told me he has been thru 14 or 15 sets of Goodyear tires. Could be more by now...

I'm a noob with only 5 sets of new tires on this car (I use the longer wearing Michy PS2's)

If you think this vehicle destroys tires, you should see what a sportbike does to tires...

Typical Fontana trackday is 2 rear tires and a front tire. Using Pirelli Super Corsa's in 6 sessions. Yellow compound on the rear (med) in summer and blue (super soft.) That's what you use on a "horsepower" track when you have 185HP on the ground...

Let's see. I have 133K on my 2008 Z06. It's a daily driver that's seen a number of track days (16 or so) and more than a few road trips. It still has the original drive train and has never been apart. I put coil overs on it at 95K. I think I'm on the 9th set of tires. I put the second set of rotors on it prior to a track event last October at 123K. I average 22 mpg combined and 28 mpg highway.

To say it's a great car is an understatement if I've ever heard one. I'm hoping I can hit a track event when it rolls over 150K. I want to catch it rolling over 150K at 150 mph or more.

My 2008 is at 60,000 miles and on it's 3rd set of tires. Stock, no problems yet.

I have to admit I am curious on what sort of condition they are in. With in the next 6 mos I'm planning on freshening up the block. But for now the car is still running strong...no smoke or leaks

That'll be interesting to see what you find. If you pull the heads, take some measurements and pictures and make a thread

Great to hear about high mile LS7's. 35k on OEM tires? Did you drive in the rain? After 12k, the lack of traction became a safety issue for me as well as a downer.

I think he has his IP set on kilometers. That would equal about 22,000 miles on a set of tires and 62,000 miles on his car.

I find it very hard to believe that even driving 100% on the highway, taking a couple of minutes to accelerate up to 70 MPH, only coast to a stop, that he can get 35,000 miles out of a set of OEM Goodyear Supercar tires. Too many people here that are lucky to get 10,000 miles with some getting 15,000 miles. Lucky few may get 22,000 miles on their tires. I'm not calling the OP a liar, but 35,000 miles on a set of Z06 Goodyear tires is a bit much to swallow.
