Honestly, I was getting ready to sell my z for the c7.... Got permission for the wifey and finances were a go...... Then I realized that although I like the C7, I don't love it as much when I first saw the c6z........ I guess I was forcing myself to like it cuz it was the "newest" vette..... Besides, the z is not mass produced as the c7 will be...... At the end of the day, I would be trading down for a base vette when I already have the performance vette suited to my liking.... Giving up my C5z for my c6z felt good to me, I never questioned my move..... However, I question moving up to the c7 everyday...... "Should I, should I not??".....

Heck no not yet I only got 1200 miles on the 13..But I like the new C7 and I'm sure the Z version is going to be a Beast...I'll try and snag one towards the end of its run...Hopefully by then all the "squirks" will be fixed.

Yes selling a C6 Z06 for a base C7 would be a down grade. To me when i went from C5 z06 to a C6 z06 i waited an extra bit of time as the C6 base model was slow and boring.

Default Wait for the C7 Z06

I love my 2011 Z06/Z07. I had a 2008 base couple and while it was a fun car, the changes to the 2011 Z06 made that car a fing blast to drive and listen to. For those of you that do not know, in 2011 GM changed the exhaust cross over on the LS7 to provide that "backrap" noise when you either shift at higher rpm, or get out of the throttle. Sounds a lot like the C6R. IF the C7 Z06 has a engine that has that torque AND sound, sign me up. Otherwise not likely to switch. I do not know what engine that they are looking to put into the new Z06 but I am guessing some type of turbo or supercharger. I LOVE the look of the C7 thought. It is a winner!!

Does adding a C7 count? I won't be getting rid of the Z...it's just too much fun.

Default Im in the minority

on the forum, already sold my 9.000 mile C6Z. I got more than people are getting 4 months later. I was ready for a change. I want a C7 and then a C7Z or what ever. Maybe I gave up my idea of a C6 ZR1 as well.. C6 is looking old already. The ones who can afford it will come arround

C6Z looking old? Well enjoy the camaro that a fat chick sat on and now they call it a C7. Plus owning a base model to me is cheap.

I almost got caught up in the hoopla until I stopped watching the videos...put the computer down...got off of my sofa...and walked out to the gargae.

There it was, my 08 VYT Z06. It was beautiful. Pure and Purposeful. Smooth clean lines. Beautiful lineage and homage to the 68-69 C3's (my previous favorite). Those bulging fender flairs and huge tires... It was exactly what i wanted, and still is for the near future.

I Like the new interior, but like others said, cant get past that a$$. I do look forward to seeing it in person, though. Last comment: I dont think the new higher perf model (whatever they call it) will be out before 2016. This redesign was much more extensive than c5 to c6, and I also think the Marketing and PR expense was also far greater. GM is going to ride this version for at least two years. They cant afford not to...

Hre's my baby, in her home...

So you're saying that those of us who bought an $80-100+K vehicle can't afford a ~$60K vehicle and that's why we don't like the C7?

I only have 65k miles on my DSOM, at least another 140k more to go! As soon as it's paid off I will build the motor and adopt some "twins". No C7 for me.

My last 427 was a 67 convertible waited for GM to regain senses that happen in 2006 bought 09 and now have 2012 3lz z06 in fav color torch red black interior and yes chrome wheels. At 69 don't have that many years to wait again and the greenies are ruining it for all of us.
