Kind of a nooooob question, but how do you completely turn off the active handling on an 07 Z. I know if you press the button in the middle console, it will turn off TC and/or turn on sport mode. I want all computers off.

To turn the system off, press the ACTIVE HANDLING button on the console for five seconds. You can turn the system on at any time by pressing the button. The DIC will display the appropriate message when you push the button.
I tried holding down the button for 5+ seconds and nothing. Held it longer and nothing. Noob question..but not a noob driver...thanks. Cant stand active handling.
I knew you had to hold down the button, thats why ive been tryng to do it ever since I got the car. Idk if there was a different way since it wasnt working.
And if you're a noob, why on Earth would you want to disable the system? Are you anxious to redecorate a guardrail or something?
I had all the systems on, was taking heavy downhill turn fast, hit a bump, back end came out, got alittle sideways and glad that system was there. I was scared my steering correction and slight tap of the brakes would lead to over-correction the *** coming out the other direction. That didn't happen, otherwise I be in the guard rail.
I wasn't sure if it was going save me and correct the turn but it did. Needless to say, it was alittle scary.
