Yes.
RPM notified me that they have this conversion kit available with the transmission and torque tube for the C6. It's not listed on their web site but they say they've done a number of these already.

The only thing needing update on this thread is the TR6070 from the C7 Z06 transmission gearing.....it's identical to the MH3 close ratio gearbox, with the 7th gear being .45 instead of .42 for the base car, .48 for the Z51 optioned car.

C7 Z06 gearing is 2.29/1.61/1.21/1.00/0.82/.68/.45

The only thing that might keep me from doing this is, from the picture I saw, it looked like the position of the shifter when not in gear on the 6070 is between 3-4-5-6 instead of between 3-4 like it is on 6060 and T56 which I prefer. Is that correct, and if so, can the resting position of the shifter be changed? Sorry if that’s a newbie question.

Yes! The TR6070 absolutely will rev match on a C5 or C6. Here a video describing how it works.

Might be a stupid question, but out of curiousity... what group of us would this benefit? The road course racers, 1/2 mile and 1 mile guys, drag guys, roll/street racers? And what would be the estimated cost? I’m assuming us DIY guys withblifts could do this ourselves..:so negate the install cost.

Again just curious.

When paired with a 3.90 or 4.10 rear axle, it benifits every one of those racing scenarios you described above if you use the appropriate TR6070, as it gives you much better gear ratios in every gear along with a LONG 7th gear ratio to keep your highway cruising speeds back in the 1500-1600 RPM range...helping both cruise MPG and engine noise.

Take a peak of these comparisons below using the 3.90 rear gear, and note the MPH for each gear and the RPM drop on each upshift...

TR6070 C7 Z06 7 speed manual when complemented with a 3.90 and 3.42 rear axle ratio....7000 RPM shift.

Factory C6 Z06 TR6060 and 3.42 rear axle ratio, using 7000 RPM shift.

Pair the 3.90 rear axle with the Z06 spec TR6070, you can still hit 60 MPH in 1st gear, shorter gear spacing between 2,3 and 4...able to use most of 4th gear in a 1/4 mile for better trap speeds, 5th and 6th gear are now completely usable as you're in the meat of the power band instead of sitting at 4700 RPM in 5th (which we all know what that does to our acceleration rate ), still have a 200 MPH top speed in 6th gear, and the long 7th gear for highway cruising.

Love to have the short 5th and 6th of the ZR1, but also love the standard super tall Z06 6th for the relaxed highway cruise.
Now I could have it all, but....

The TR6070 is 1.75" longer than the TR6060, so you'll need a shortened torque tube assembly. Call Shane at RPM for the details.

RPM quoted me 2500.00 for the shortened torque tube, custom shortened drive shaft, shortened shift rod, and OEM ZR1 guibos (couplers). You can supply your own transmission, which by the way, I had a buddy at my local dealership get me a price on a brand new TR6070 for a C7 Z06....$3450.00

As the TR6070 has the factory rated torque capacity to handle both the LT4 and the upcoming ZR1's LT5, you don't need any additional beefing up to handle a high powered N/A car

I did the very first conversion of this type in a C5 or C6 with RPMs help in May of 2014:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ighlight=T6070

It is the best change I have made in my Z.

I followed your conversion thread with great interest.
The upgrade finally makes sense for my application with the availability of the 3.90/4.10 rear gear

I'm glad that this worked for you. I owned a C7Z with M7 and absolutely hated it. I would highly recommend anyone contemplating this swap to spend a lot of time shifting from 5th, to 6th to 7th with the 6070 trans....I absolutely hated the feel of the shifter through these gates. This issue was actually one of the contributors to me selling the car.

On the M6 the resting position of the stick in neutral is directly between 3 and 4. Never having driven an M7, can anyone tell me if the resting position is the same or if it's centered between 3-4-5-6? I'd love to put in a 3.90 or 4.10 and have 7 for highway, but that might be a deal breaker for me.

Hello

How do you made it work that you can shift reverse?
In my swap TR6060 to TR6070 I habe the Problem I can not shift in reverse, it is like blocked.
Is there a solenoid or something that didn't alow shifting in reverse?
