New 2015 Z06 Convertible
Looks like GM is trying to attract the Grand Sport crowd by introducing the new convertible Z06. Maybe it's not new but I just learned they are going to produce them. Not sure of the pricing or how popular the car will be but it's on the way. I wonder why there was never a convertible option for the ZR1 considering how well the 2013 Z went over. Thoughts?....or...not!

I'm still a purist.. I don't think REAL sports cars should EVER be convertibles. Leave that for the base model. JMO

With the ability to do a targa with this newest z06, I'd think a vert is kind of redundant. I know it's got it's own audience but for me, this generations chassis has made the decision a bit easier on which model to get in regards to roof type. Transmission: I'm still on the fence, the new automatic looks sweet

Convertibles are fun like the Ferrari spiders and Porsche targas, but many of these types of cars can't run track events without the protection of a roll hoop, one that is permanent or similar to the automatic mechanism used in the Mini's and BMW's. Many car clubs or organizations will not let a true convertible on the track for insurance reasons and many owners miss the opportunity for even doing slow touring laps on some of the great North American tracks like Road America, Sebring, Daytona, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen and others. Introspect, they are fun in the sun but limiting.

Still never know if these guys are serious when they talk about wife making car decisions. I'd love to see any GF/Wife ever tell me what I can and can't do with a car I purchased with my money... that would be the day pigs fly

Well if it has the same poor legroom and interior fitment to the C7 Vert I sat in at the Tulsa Car Show this weekend, then anyone who is like me (6'3" 230 - not really oversize at all) is going to be disappointed.
I was REALLY surprised at the lack of legroom in the car; and made sure it was the last car I sat in before going to the parking lot and hopping in my "09 C6Z06 - absolutely no doubt in my mind that Chevy screwed up on the interior dimensions of the C7. In the C7 section they'll tell you to slide the seat forward, then lower it, then go backwards to the limit to reach the furthest point - which for grins I';ll go try; but I was surprised. My 09 C6Z has at least 3 to 4" of more legroom interior fitment, and the seats aren't as narrow either. My but fit (38" waist); but if you were a big boy - you might not fit.

LOL - yeah, I'm probably more serious than not. Ruski, I'll Paypal ya' 50 cents and then call me when you've been married 42 years to the same girl. That time has taught me that if she's not happy, no one else in the house is happy either.
It took me most of those 42 years to learn the two most important words in the language are 'Yes, dear!'.
When she's not pleased the four most important words are 'Yes, dear, I'm sorry.'
