I suppose these would work on a C5 also?
Was considering putting on C6 Z06 shocks, but these sound better.

Bilstein does not make a specific C6 Z06 shock. They make a generic C5/C6 Bilstein Sport shock (what I have on my C6 Z06), but to my knowledge, the only Bilstein C6 Z06 specific shock is thru the special order that DRM does in bulk with Bilstein.

There may be other manufactures, including coil-over set-ups that make C6 Z06 specific shocks, though.

Just trying to make sure these DRM re-valved Bilsteins would work good on a C5. I know plenty of guys run stock C6 Z06 shocks on C5's.
Just after the best possible shock to run, without going to coilovers.

I can't imagine how bad the C5 shocks are if stock C6 Z06 shocks are better. The first time I drove a C6 Z06 it was obvious the twitchy back end was because of the shock valving. The first mod I did after buying a C6 Z06 was to install Bilstein Sports, that work on all C5 and C6 cars (without magnetic suspension). I didn't know about the DRM's when I got the Bilstein Sports, which I have been happy with. I'd go with the DRM's now, though.

They were terrible...except in '04 the shocks were made by Sachs and developed at Nurburgring. The off the shelf Bilstein sports I put on my '03 C5Z absolutely transformed the car, and valved virtually identical to those sachs shocks.

Hey guys,
Sorry I haven't been on the forum much lately. Y'all are keeping me extremely busy with orders

This batch is sold out. I'm working on a v7.0 right now and will let the forum know about it right after the 4th of July.

Hopefully some people will post up their experience with these after they install them. I bet it would make 160+ feel safer

Plenty of feedback, just search DRM group purchases 1 thru 5 and you will get all you need. There are probably over 300 sets installed just by forum members

I have driven one with these shocks and it is much better overall. The control and compliance is better and the car doesn't feel like a nervous Chihuahua. The car I drove did also have a bump steer kit, corner weighting and proper alignment but still the ride feel was leaps and bounds better. It was still stiff feeling, it is not going to become soft and cushy.

I spoke to Randy on Monday and he is a nice guy and gave me a lot of good info. I let him know I will be in for the next GB on these unless he happens to have some left over from this last batch.

Update

The fronts are done and ready for pick up. The bushings and boxes are here ready.

The rears are scheduled for July 16th, that is what I heard two weeks ago. Going to get confirmation on Monday, if they are going to make that date.

Randy
