I just had my Hinson's installed after splitting my stock mount.

Not much additional noise at all, and no rattles to annoy me. Very happy so far.

I have 2 to change myself and am curious as to how DIY's are doing them? I have access to a 2-post lift.

Thanks,
Jeff

We installed mine a while ago, but I recall doing it this way. Get car in the air just high enough to get your head under. Then, take a trans jack and support the rear end. Take another trans jack with a piece of wood and push the motor up after unbolting the original mounts. You will then raise the motor up enough to get old ones out and new ones in, lower motor, bolt in new mounts.

Now I can't recall all the details, but I think I had to loosen my headers and some things to get the motor lifter a few inches to get the old mounts out and new ones in. Just be sure to have support at rear of vehicle when pushing the motor up from underneath in the front.

Obviously I'm a little late getting to this thread, but I wanted to personally thank everyone that has invested in our products and given us the opportunity to work with you and earn your business. I'm glad that everyone is enjoying the befits of our performance urethane mounts and I hope you continue to tell every Corvette owner about your experience with us and our products. I noticed that some people in the market were wanting heat shields or protection for their mounts. This is not necessary unless you are road racing the car for long periods of time or you have a turbo setup that is really close to the mounts. Regardless we have offered an option as of a few months ago for the extra security everyone has asked about. We offer heat shield/wraps for your engine mounts. These will install without having to remove your mounts. so if you already have them your set. Check them out guys, I'm sure you can find a respectable value in the added protection.

Also be sure to check out some of our other great items that are new like our NEW HINSON SHORT THROW SHIFTERS FOR C5, C6, & C7. We offer it with the option to re-use your stock **** or one of our aftermarket round ***** complete with billet adapter to retain like stock boot to shifter fitment. Check out the site to read about our unique mechanism that DOES NOT USE SPRINGS OF ANY KIND!

Bump from the past. 5 years later how is everyone liking their mounts?
I am currently in the middle of an engine pull and figured I'd replace my mounts.

It is a Street/ Track / Drift Car.
I dont want solid and the Nasty vibrations.
I see a lot of people mention they prefer the Hinson over the pfadt. I would much rather have factory but I don't want to keep swapping them out.

Any advice? Im leaning towards Hinson.

Go AMT mounts. They're well made, won't melt, and keep the knock sensors happy. I have their engine and diff mounts. Nvh obviously increased slightly, but only at low rpms.

yep, did this on my zr1 and no knock foul......

there is a small amount of drivetrain feedback, shifting is louder and engine harmonics are more pronounced....

but after a week or so driving it you don't even notice it, damn car is so loud to being with

I’ve had Hinson engine and trans mounts for 3 yrs now. Mainly street and some track days. Powertrain very solid, power hop eliminated. I wouldn’t go back stock.

While I hate to contribute to a revived OOOOOOLLLLLLDDDD thread...I AM curious if anyone makes a delrin mount? Are the AMT's delrin or rubber?

Hey its better than to start a new one and have multiple threads out haha.

I'm not sure if anyone makes Delrin mounts, but the AMT is Vulcanized Rubber.
