Are they even available for the LS7?

To improve on the stock rocker arm you're going to have to spend close to $2K. At least.

There's nothing wrong with the stock rockers. They've worked fine for over a decade in other LS engines, albeit at a 1.7 ratio instead of 1.8

Given all the guide wear discussion, there is a theory that a roller tipped rocker is better for the valve guides, but there is really no hard evidence of that and as long as guide wear is monitored there is really no risk of destruction.

The downside of the roller tipped rocker is that the aluminum ones have a history of breakage and most of them are effectively heaver than the stock items.

I just got back from my test drive after installing the comp cams trunion upgrade. My car has 4k miles on it. Previously was nice and quiet at startup, but once the oil got warm it sounded like a sewing machine. Now it's the same level of quiet from cold startup to warm. Glad I did it.

stock rockers are fine... unless you have an extreme build spend your money elsewhere

I run Yella Terra 1.8 shafts. Love them...no complaints. Quiet and functional. Over 10K miles on them now. Plus, you can have them for around 600 bucks. Yes, they are an upgrade...depending on who you listen to.
