Default 2007 Navigation Question

On the stock nav unit, does that cover the entire continental US?

Someone mentioned that I might need "region discs" to update my area, but that did not seem right.

Any help would be appreciated.

I seem to remember that there were two disks for that year. One disk covered the west coast but did not cover the entire east coast. I was in GA one year and a friend from TX wondered why GA was not covered. She was missing one disk...

Weird. I know it's a very basic Nav unit, but that seems odd.

Guess my next question would be where can I get the discs if indeed they aren't both available?

Can it be updated with a different disc entirely, maybe one not even from GM?

I'd let you know but my nav says install map disk. It won't read the nav disk anymore.

I have the 2011- 2012 release and it was burned onto a dual layer dvd. It has US and Canada and was listed as DW464210-7510. I have the newest release but cannot extract the img file. I have the 2006 Z06
