Wake County Sheriff Z06 unmarked car in Raleigh?
Has anyone seen or been pulled over by the Wake County Sheriff Department (In NC)'s Z06 which was seized from a drug dealer? Working on a story for Raleigh News & Observer about its use.

Googled it and there are a number of articles about it.

Yes, I've read all about it and spoken with the Sheriff, but would love to get an eye-witness source who has interacted personally with the officer assigned.

I've seen it on 64 east. I was in the west bound lane, it was in the east bound with a car pulled over. It is just like my black 09 which I was driving at the time. I'm glad he had a car pulled over so I would know it was an officer driving. It has dark tinted windows so you cant tell it is being used in law enforcement.
I'm sure he has pulled many Mustangs as they like to challenge the vettes.

So a black, unmarked, Z06 being used by an LEO may or may not be speeding with its lights off.
If there are no markings, how are you supposed to distinguish it from any other black Z06 that is speeding?
Why not report on all of the other officers speeding, and not just that one?

Safety Car
I love the deep South. Many moons ago I had a 9th grade buddy with a new 57 Chrysler 300C (he had failed a few grades) that he used to run moonshine. The local Sheriff knew exactly who was doing what but the unwritten agreement is that they had to catch him with a load of shine to prosecute. One day the Sheriff appeared with a 40 Ford with a blown 56 Chrysler Hemi that literally had to be towed to and from where he wanted to catch the shine runners.
My buddy quit running shine after that.
Only in the Deep South can you still find Boss Hogg.

I have seen the car up close and can tell you that you would not be able to distinguish it from any other Z06. So if anyone tells you that they have seen the car speeding, then they are full of it. Also, the deputy to which the car is currently assigned to is not the deputy who made the original stop, arrest and seizure of the vehicle. And to the best of my knowledge, as of 6 months ago it was no longer being used to enforce strictly traffic violations....
And working on a story that is 5 years old? Really? Just in time for the general election in which Donnie Harrison is up for reelection.

You clearly think that people only want to hear the sob stories from citizens who were caught red handed by an unmarked officer in a free vehicle and stories about officers speeding.
