Default insulation done!

I just finished up the install of the vettenuts premium insulation kit. I thought i share my experience. Right from the start the kit is 2 layers of different materials, and its also mostly pre-cut. I said mostly because half of the parts needed modification and who ever tells you that everything bolts right up 2 layers is a freaking liar!! The install was A HUGE PITA Makes headers install like a walk in the park! I haven't drive it so far so can't tell how big is the difference, but with all the stuff i put in there and tapes, iT better to make a huge difference If you plan to do this, you better be aware of what you get yourself into! I will post result later, since i have to wait for my Heat exchanger to come back and install it before driving the beast!

I thought you had your heat exchanger already and brackets for it....

Make sure you have no kinks in your hoses and routed correctly

When do we get pics of seats?

T--did you sew a little bridge over the tunnel to stop the carpet from moving when the car gets hot?

I'm curious to know how much improvement in sound deadening and head blocking you receive. Please let us know.
How many hours did you spend installing?

Wow, what a project. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I sure hope you got what you were looking for given all the work you did on the interior.

I think my days of ripping into the interiors are over, when I read about the work required to do the job right. Me thinks I'll just accept the heat and noise.

Its was kinda lots of work, with said it does worth it! Its not perfectly quiet or cold. but to me besides my time its cost less than 400$ to make the car MUCH more enjoyable on just regular driving, so yes does worth it!

Took it to Thunderhill today. Put a meat therm in the cup holder. Beginning temp was 92. After 30 minutes on the track it was 118.
