I bought a no deductable GMPP warranty (just before my 3/36k expired) from Fitchner Chevy in MT (no longer owned by Fithchner Chevy but I bet they still can sell you a warranty) for $500 less than my local dealer. I have used it for a check engine light which turned out to be a replacement for both cats and an xpipe and reprogram software to bring my 2011 up to date to 2012 software. I also used it for a headlight recall.
It is wonderful piece of mind to have a track car with a warranty! Helps to have the right dealer too

I was able to buy a GMPP through Bill Stasek Chevrolet on my 09 when I bought it last June. The car was out of the 3 36 warranty and had 20 days on the powertrain left. As long as the 5 100 was still in effect they were able to write it. I got 4 years 48K with a $50 deductible GMPP. I didn't even buy the car from Stasek.

The dealer (private high end reseller) took it upon himself to see if we could get a warranty as I was going to walk away from this car due to the warranty status. He called 3 local dealers and got them to bid against each other. I took the lowest bid under $2k I think and went to Stasek and told them I wanted to do business with them or I'd go to the local dealer that had given the quote. They took the deal. They had quoted about $2600 and I think I paid about $1800.

My extended warranty expired recently. Did not have any claims.
