DOCZ OEM CUP Wheels on 2010 Modified ZR1 go 214MPH!
Hey guys, been crazy busy, but wanted to post some pics of my latest wheel & tire package on the ZR1.
I ended up ordering the Cup Flat Black wheels from DOCZ, and then had them stripped, and painted the factory Competition Grey color!
After getting them mounted up with a set of the new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2'... I headed out to Mojave's Magnum event, for some standing 1mile & 1.5 mile runs. After back to back runs over 210 in the 1.5 mile... had to keep it to just the standing mile. Unfortunately... the tire size I brought was for the 1.5 mile... so I was having to go to 6th gear at the 3/4 mile mark, and the trans wouldn't allow for a quick shift. (Videos below)
Car ran awesome and was a great time!
2 In car views of the 213.9 MPH run, one from behind me and one out the windshield. Th
Here's an incar of just trying to hold the car in 5th gear, and run it on the limiter (hoping that was 200) for the mile... unfortunately you can see not only how early i was on the limiter before the mile... but it was only good for 197.9mph. I then just 'maintained' the speed in 6th to not get in trouble.
I also have a rear cam shot that I should get uploaded in the next week or so.
Best Regards,
Dave

Great videos. For your rear camera shot, is it inside or outside the car? If its outside what type of mount are you using and do you worry about it flying off at a high speed?

Thanks guys! Answers below:
ZBadest: Yes sir! Your 2.175 upper pulley installed!
Rob: for the 1.5 mile, Hoosier 345/18 26.8" tall. For the 1 mile M/T ET Street 345/18 27.5" tall.
Truth: I was afraid to mount the gopro on outside of rear window, mounted on the inside of rear window facing backwards.
Best Regards,
Dave

Like always badass videos and work congrats Dave.
9s 145mph almost 200mph in 1mile with full weight under 800rwhp car is amazing
How much boost are you seeing with 2.17 Pulley?

Wow Dave that was awesome, I had to trailer there for the No Fly Zone 1/2 mile.... I should have waited and gone to the 1.5 mile instead!!!

Venom: running about 18.5lbs of boost with the 2.17 pulley.
PHPD... check their website out for next years... they do it approximately once a year, a total blast!
