I traded my 09Z for a 13Z. Told the dealership my heads were replaced by GM powertrain warranty several months earlier. They were aware of the issue. At least one of two who were interested in my car asked the dealership about the heads.

I asked point blank and was told the engine "had never been worked on", he even went to the length of telling me that "all LS7s make that valve noise". The seller neglected to disclose the fact that the engine was replaced.

Engine work didn't show up on the carfax either.

If I were to buy another LS7, I wouldn't really care what a person told me or didn't tell me, I would check the heads somehow.
