ZR1 rear sway bar upgrade for ZO6
Bought OEM ZR1 Bars for my 07' ZO6. Rear bushings are not the same size or shape to fit in my stock 07' ZO6 brackets.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Buy the zr1 bushing, they are $6 or something stupid cheap. Not sure why you thought a thicker sway bar would fit in the same bushings. Dealer should have know you need the bushing that fit the bar along with the bar.

To clarify - I purchased one of the "ZO6 upgrade to ZR1 swaybar kits". It came with ZR1 bushings.
If you read my post I stated that they will not fit in the stock Z06 "brackets".
The rear bushings will not fit in the stock "brackets".
I am not stupid - The I.D of the supplied bushings are the correct size.
I am not sure why you thought that if the bushings would not fit in the brackets it would affect whether they were the right size to go around the swaybar.
BTW - Have you ever installed the ZR1 upgrade kit?
I am off to the dealer to see about ZR1 rear brackets -

Yes, I have one on my car. Didn't require new brackets, just bushing. Maybe you got the wrong parts.

Haven't read about this topic in a while...so basically I've forgotten the details. What is one trying to accomplish by swapping C6ZR1 bars onto a C6Z? IIRC the ZR1 sways are not as stiff...but don't recall the correlation to balance between front and rear bars vs stock C6Z.

ZR1 bars are larger/stiffer. Drag/straight line people like a stiff rear to help keep rear planted on launches. For $20 it was a cheap upgrade. Cost me $120 for a zr1 bar and sold stock z06 bar for $100. Front bar is removed.

Gotcha. I thought there were some road course folks doing this as well though...swapping out front and rear bars.

I'm sure some are. They are bigger/stiff bars. If that is what you want, go for it.

Where did I even say anything close to that? ZR1 bars are stiffer than z06 bars. If that is what you want, then get them. Typically road race cars run very stiff bars, so odds are they would be good. If you want a stiffer bar, get them. It is all about dialing in the complete system to have the car behave how you want.
