Define STAGES
What comprises these stages?
Stage 1 cam =
Stage 2 cam =
Stage 3 cam =
Stage 1 heads =
Stage 2 heads =
Stage 3 heads =
I never heard of anyone defining these things so I'm really curious if anyone has the answers. It seems to me if you've had your heads ported twice, that doesn't make it a stage 2 does it? I mean if it's a CNC port then why couldn't they just poured them at a stage 3 instead of stage 1?

Stages are meaningless to anyone but the stakeholders who are either selling them or buying them. It is rememenescent of the dated terminology of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full race cam back in the 60's and 70's. Which also was meaningless.

Buyer can afford to spend:
$1000K stage
$2000K stage
$4000K stage
$8000K stage
These are probably more accurate

Street Port, still maintains low speed head flow but makes additional power.
Street/Strip Port, gives up low speed power for larger gains in the upper RPM range or extends the rpm range.
Race Port, sacrifices low speed performance for max effort top end performance and extends the rpm range.
Obviously you wouldn't want a race port on the street and vice versa so thats why you wouldn't go to "3" instead of 1

In reference to heads, I'd say its more of a

See... I figured as much. Takes for putting it out there
