Got an answer back from YT on this for you...

Just heard back from Texas Speed. According to Jason, the 6670 LS7 rocker fits the head “just fine”. I cannot confirm nor deny this because our R&D department has not actually tested the fitment of the rockers against the head. Best I can do.

Much appreciated...

I'm running Katech's Torquer 110 and they spec/use the PSI 1511 springs for that application. Open pressure of those springs are 380lbs, well withing YT's max open pressure rating. I currently have TSP's .675" springs and will be swapping them for the PSIs and YTs at my next wiggle test.

I can tell you for a fact the 6670s did not fit my prc heads from Texas speed last year. I had a very spirited conversation with themy about this. I was told I didn't tell them I was running those rockers so they did not put clearance in the head for them.

Before ordering I would take a good look at your stock arms. If they're close to the casting wall of the head on the pushrod side. The 6670s will hit.

That is with the OEM rockers, not any other. You will need more spring if you want to keep the same rev limit. How much is anyone's guess.

Noticed a few psi1511 springs breaking recently. Good luck with them if you go that route.

The YT Spintron analysis results are hours away - we should have some data very soon.

Well, look at the "almighty infallible stock rocker", broken.

So.. I have to say there is no conclusive evidence that the spring failed before the rocker - I'd guess the opposite.

My thoughts exactly what if the stock rocker was failing and broke the spring. In all my years on the form I've never seen a 1511 spring break.

Throw the spring under a microscope and you likely find an inclusion in the wire. Spring manufacturers biggest problem is controlling where inclusions in the wire occur. you can't completely get rid of them so they try to drive the inclusions deep within the wire so it's in the compression zone. When the inclusions aren't properly controlled they can end up in the outer tensile layers of a the wire, and end up failing.

fact of life with valve springs.

The best wire to use is Peterson. Made in the USA. PAC is Peterson. PSI uses Peterson.

As usual, the spring failure is woefully lacking in details or logical failure analysis. Internet BS, once again.

3 trunions done, 15 to go. I'm amazed at the metal dust and wear on all the comp trunions. Glad I'm getting rid of them and going to the bronze ones.

Good save. Miles on the Comps? What spring press & lift?

18 trunnions? Must be the top secret LSX V9!

Not 100% sure on miles, but between 10-15k. PRC 650 springs for majority, Pac 1207 for last ~1500 miles.

Yes, I run extra rockers to account for heavier valves.
