Default turbo oil return question

Hey All,

I am getting ready to build a twin turbo kit for my 2008 Z06 next month and I am wonder how some of you guys have done the oil return with the dry sump system.

I have heard a few people doing a scavenging pump and pumping the return oil back up to the oil filler tank and I have heard of some people just tapping into the oil pan and gravity draining there.

Any info that you guys may have would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is a port on the drivers side of the motor that is used to prime dry engines that I have read people use for oil return. I believe its on the scavenge side of the oil galley.

I believe that is used for oil feed. It is a pressurized line (the port on drivers side). So that would not work.

Gravity to pan works if turbos are high enough. The oil fed blowers just gravity drain to the pan or to the front cover.

like I said, I could have sworn I saw some guys using it for return, but I guess it was feed.

Thanks for the info guys.

Do you know if they weld in a bung on the pan for a gravity oil return to pan or is there an existing threaded port to "T" into?
