How do you like the car? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2006 with a fresh gm crate LS7 in it tomorrow. I think I will have to drop a deposit to hold it before I am able to go see it, due to work schedule for this week. I won't get to drive it until next Monday.Curious how you find it.

I could understand the ill feelings in the C5Z section.. C6Z will always be a great platform to mod. Majority of cars out there need about 150whp extra and/or some type of flappy paddle gear box to even keep up. FWIW I came over from a 13' GT500 that had over 700whp and and it still doesnt compare to my C6Z with 600whp.. I had radials and supporting suspension mods and had traction issues.

Hello...
Just wanted to post up that their is a new kid in town sporting an 08C6Z (3LZ). Have been a long time CF member. Replaced a built 01 C5Z that I owned for 9 yrs.. Finally decided to sell and step up to the C6Z platform and build on it. The car is bone stock w 22K, i'll leave it that way for awhile. Contemplating doing a H/C/I/E car.... Or a blower friendly cam w blower, supporting mods, meth. Looking forward to learning more about this car and becoming a part of the C6Z crowd. The guy I picked it up from replaced it with a C7Z.... A few pics in her current state.

Congrats on the purchase! Nice color combo. I'll be in the market this March, do you mind me asking what did you pay for it?

I was actually looking at a 09 VR C6Z with the 3LZ "white linen" interior.
"Sienna".... nice, I didn't know that is what it was called. At any rate.. the interior, feel of this car is so distant from my C5Z... I mean, you can read about it, hear about it, but til you experience it you never "really" know how these cars exceed the expectation in contrast to the C5 platform... not a dig @ the c5... I loved mine. But, to me.. It's money well spent moving up to this platform.

Love the car, but I am not the guy to ask.... I am no expert on the c6Z platform (yet).. I do know the 06's are slightly lighter...? I would say go for it IF the car meets your expectations. Place that deposit before someone else does. These are great cars right out of the box.

Honestly? The only two things I miss about my C5Z are:
1) The trunk/hardtop, which I think were aesthetically and functionally awesome.
2) The raw/visceral feeling, which I think was severely muted across all the C6s.

I also own a 2011 Lexus IS350F.... It's pretty damn close!
While not exactly a Lexus, or Benz interior, the C6 interior is IMHO way better than the C5 interior...and I liked my C5Z's interior.

Black '09 Z owner. Good luck with it. I almost like the interior color combo better than my black/red. Hmmm? These cars are awesome out of the box, but I did eventually do a mild cam/heads, etc. 550 rwhp now, but I still miss the awesome tractability the stock set up has. Enjoy it!
