I think I'll be calling Thompson and Texas speed today and see what I can do about buying a longblock. Then just order a ecs and some headers and throw it all together and be good.

Can call CPR too and see what they have. They are also a Thompson dealer so may get you a better price. The turbo c7z they built is Kyle Thompsons personal car. He was out here at SCT. I talked with him for awhile. Super nice guy.

Make sure you spec dry sump, different crank.

Only if he wants to stay dry sump. Maybe cheaper/easier to just swap to wet sump. Cheap pump, no need to clean out oil tank/etc. Just need to pick up a wet sump pan. Simple enough.

Honestly don't care what oil system. After looking around I'm pretty sure I'm going Thompson the price is pretty hard to beat I am going to a local engine shop to talk to them but I'm 90% sure Thompson it is. I'll be contacting Thompson and cordes see who can cut a better deal
