H/C & LT's w/Corsa Sport step in
Guys I cannot stand the B&B Bullets on my H/C Z06. ARH 1 7/8 longtubes, high flow cats. The exterior sound is pretty deep and has a nice tone. But I absolutely HATE the interior drone. It's enough to give you a headache after 30 minutes of driving the car. Ever talked in front of a fan? Sounds like your voice is split in two ? That's exactly how it sounds when talking to your passenger. So.. seeing as how I love the Corsa Sport exterior sound I would like to know how interior drone is with a similar setup to mine. Heads, cam, catted longtubes. If anyone has any interior videos at normal driving speed please post up. I thought of doing stock mufflers with muffler mod but I don't have stock mufflers because I bought the car already modded. So I would spend $400-600 for stock mufflers then another $400-800 for 3" muffler mod. I just as well spend extra for Corsa if drone is only half what the bullets I currently have are.

I had the Sports on mine for 4 years, LT headers no cats but have the stock cam. There is NO drone on this setup, trade off is they sound good but do not have the deep exhaust tone like bullets/Akrapovic/Borla etc. you will also lose the NPP setup, but they are tame under light throttle I'd compare them to the bullets on loud under WOT. Always a trade off on the exhausts tones, I guess you have to pick your poison on which to avoid.

I have h/c/i/catted kooks and corsa sports. There is some drone in the 1800rpm range. Not terrible but clearly audible; the exhaust note is excellent though. If you want drone free consider the zr1 mufflers. Be warned that loud mode drones a great deal. It also doesnt sound nearly as good.

Had the sport on my H/C 2008 z06 with 1 7/8 loingtubes and catless X pipe and there was zero drone. passengers often commented on how quiet the car was inside. Corsa does an excellent job of keeping the noise behind you

That's what I want. The noise outside. I actually would rather a louder/raspier sounding exhaust than the deeper bullet sound. I like the exotic more poppy/sharper sound the Corsa Sport put out. I don't mind "some" drone, I figured it was nature of the beast with setups like this but damn the drone from the bullets I currently have. It literally rattles your ears. I like the tone/sound the Corsa has.

My 07 Z06 has hci, 1 7/8" long tubes and Corsas. There is some drone in 6th gear in the 70 to 80 mph range. Over 80 and it quiets down. The drone is never terrible, but it is there. At 80 in 6th conversations can be held without raising your voice. Below 80, use 5th to avoid the drone.

I have a mild HCI set up with 1 3/4 LG super pros UNcatted with corsas. I have an gopro video of interior 1/4 mile vs ur request of normal driving, if you want me to post it. Also have an exterior with external mic of 1/4 to compare inside vs outside sounds. My set up has min drone between 60-70mph in 6th on highway driving. Just down shift, slow down or speed up to get rid of the drone. Lemme know if you want me to post either of those 2 videos.

Link to my car on the dyno...
H/C/I with longtubes, E85, no cats and corsa....Very little drone if any at about 1600-1800 rpms. My car is louder when its idling than when I'm cruising on the freeway.

Mine is also louder during idle vs cruising. It also light weight shakes during idle. Although nothing is louder than the RPM's rising above a 3k-7k pull in any gear

Who? Horrendous drone @ 1300 is = to my low freeway mph in 6th drone comparison. Our corsa set up is louder at idle vs cruising at low highway speeds. Easy fix for our set up is 5th gear or 70+ mph. Right? I think all our (3 corsa guys) experiences match here.

Go with the Corsa exhaust. You won't be sorry. My buddy has a similar experience with Borla exhaust. He has Kooks, LS7R cam , and now has Corsas . The drone from the Borlas was pretty bad. Car sounds awesome now and very little drone. Corsa is the way to go IMO.

i just installed the borla atak, already had long tubes and high flow cats... to me there is no drone. i guess it really depends on how sensitive your ears are to it, people hear different frequencies differently

I have cats, so I don't know if that's the difference between H8VTEC, or if he's just used to the drone, but it's def there at 1600rpm in 6th.
Don't try to milk every mpg by cruising under 70mph in 6th, and it's great.

I had the B&B PRT's installed prior to H/C/I and the drone was unbearable. Took them off and installed Corsa.
Now with H/C/I & ARH w/ catted x-pipe the Corsa still has no drone.
