will clutch last on drag radials?
I have an 07 with stock clutch. car has 51,000 miles. I have a set of 345/30/19 drag radials for it I have not put on yet. Is the stock clutch going to give me trouble now that it has sticky tires? How long does a clutch last in these cars?

Are you going to launch it at 7k at the drag strip? Or are you just using DRs for more street traction? It all depends on the application. I found the stock clutch to not like being launched on drag radials at the track and gave up quickly. However, when I was just on the street with DRs it didn't seem to have any impact on the clutch's performance. Keep that fluid clean, don't slip it much and see how long it goes.

mostly street. I may race some drag strip events for street cars here. if so I will launch 3-4,000 rpm max. I have done the ranger method for clutch fluid every time i have raced the car on stock tires. Wasn't sure how good a stock LS7 clutch is.

Mines starting slip going to 4th at high Rpms with drs. I'm not stock though so yours might last a while. Haven't been to the track but have done quite a few digs plus many many rolls.

My clutch pedal would stay on the floor after about 4 runs. No difference between DRs or street tires. Its the traction that counts. Did 6000 RPM 2nd gear burnouts to get them hot enough to eliminate wheel hop in first around 40 mph
Switched to a ZR-1 clutch, Katech billet slave and Tick master. $$ though
