Phoenix Temp 119% Z06 hitting 235 temp reading
I have a 2006 Z06, wanted to see what other Z06 folks are seeing on their temp guages for this time of year. For me, my Z06 usually sits around 220 or just below, but since the Phoenix temps are hitting around 118 and 120, my Engine temp has gone to 235 and 240 coming home from work. Any special advice on Engine coolant?

You didn't mention if you're stock or not, but with stop and go traffic, it's the norm on a car with stock cooling with these extreme outdoor temps.
At a constant highway speed of 75+ MPH, I see 196-199 coolant temps. You need a good volume of air to pass thru the radiator, and the stock radiator fan can only pull so much air while sitting motionless.
Idling in traffic with the A/C on, you'll see numbers creep up into the 230's, and your A/C compressor will be cycling on and off to minimize the engine loads and system pressure.
Go with a coolant mixture that's biased toward distilled water instead of the normal 50/50 mix; add some water wetter products may help to a small degree but don't expect any miracles. Additionally, make sure that the A/C condenser and radiator fins are clear of any debris.
To add additional cooling capacity, you can go to the DeWitts 1129105A radiator .... https://www.dewitts.com/collections/...ts/c6-corvette
With yesterday's temps, I measured the black pavement temps in the 160+ degree range at 2:00 p.m., so your air supply is already super heated

that's not abnormal temps given the current conditions we have. Only way to knock it down some is a radiator/fan combo. I have seen quite a few of the fan modules be week and not let the fan go into full power mode. your coolant ratio when we did your heads is biased to distilled water btw.

Mine was doing the same thing and it ended being the connector having a melted pin on the fan. It's the 3 wire connector at passenger side upper rad. Disconnect and take a look. I ended up extending the wires and hard wired it, soldered and heat shrink. A lot of time the connectors will melt of the car has a tune and had the fans come on earlier. The connector can't handle it.

Yea. It was weird for me because we were in the dyno the other night and I saw my scanner saying the fan was commanded on at 192 and it didn't finally turn on until 208 so for me it was causing erratic fan operation.

Normal. Victor and Joe nailed it. 230+ in 120+ temps is completely normal. It is freaking hot.

Get rid of that factory fan & awful shroud GM uses and purchase a D3 fan & shroud. There is no modification required it uses the existing mounting points the factory one uses. It's a duel fan set up and puts out twice the CFM's the factory fan does.
The factory shroud is just terrible and doesn't direct the air to the points efficiently like it should. The D3 shroud is killer my temps here in FL in stop & go traffic went down 18*.

105 last week and my car stayed at 194 on highway and never went past 216 in traffic.. Just hard wired my fan.. 2" un-coated long tubes don't help either lol

When you are traveling on any road 40 MPH+ there is no fan out there that will move more air to the engine bay than the aerodynamics of the air dams on these cars. These aftermarket fans are solely for stop and go traffic in high temp climates.

Today it's 119-120, so my car can't sit idling for long periods of time at a traffic light with the A/C going full tilt. But, if you pay attention and cycle your A/C on and off, you can keep things manageable.

Are used to come through there with my 18 wheeler. I would pull into a truckstop and the roads going in where deeply grooved from the asphalt getting so hot... it was crazy!
