Seems like MPSS has the most votes.

i am about to buy new set of tires for my 2009 z06 (cam, heads, tune, 550rwhp) pretty much made up my mind to get the MSS. my question, is there any down side to doing the 285/345 combo? speed o re-calibration I assume? tire rub? the tires are what, about a 1/2 inch taller? and a inch wider?

No problem at all wit that combination of tire size. I ran that in Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I'm running 285/35-18 up front and 355/30-19 in the back now in Pirelli P-Zeros. I am lowered all the way on stock bolts. No rubbing issues. Speedo inaccuracy is very minimal. I love the Pirellis. In my opinion they are a much better riding tire and better traction than the PSS. Neither of them are going to get as good of traction as Sport Cup 2, or NT05R.
