Tires C6 Z06 best ones?

Depends on your use and power level. For stockish power and all around performance, it's hard to beat Michelin Pilot Super Sports. You don't have to match front and rear, but I wouldn't match run flats with non-run flats.

Heads, cam, headers, cold air intake. Car puts 543hp and 513Torque to the wheels. Yes I do have the original run flats on the car. Just looking to see what everyone else is running. So I guess I would need to get a set of run flats.

I hated my run flats. The non-run flat MPSS road so much smoother and had much better grip. They should hold your power ok. I would go non-run flats all around. I just carry a small air compressor and plug kit in the back cubby now.

Another vote for MPSS. I'm running the 345/285 combo. Had a new set installed yesterday, they hold my 575whp/496wtq quite well. A little loose in 1st gear.
My last set lasted 4 years and 30,000 miles. Only changed them because they got hard with age, still had 5k+ of tread life.

MPSS if you don't care about runflats. B-Stone RE050A pole positions if you do care.

Thanks for the responses guys, seems like the MPSS are very popular. I haven't decided whether to get rid of the run flats or not. It does seem that most get rid of them. How much cheaper are the MPSS tires then the run flats?

I have a similar setup to you. I had the MPSS and HATED them! No traction in 3 gears! Sure they last a long time but all you do is spin. I switched over to Pirelli P-Zero (non-runflats) and its the BEST tire for my car. Little softer compound so it hooks and If you drive a corvette the way it was designed (track or racing) these are great tires! The only bad part is they cost more than MPSS (by about 150 bucks). Good luck with your research.

Anybody use the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires? They seem awful cheap compared to others. My car is street driven, hasn't had a day at the track yet and most likely won't.

If that's the case you could use Continental or Firestone, they are both a cheap tire and many use them.

I hate my MPSS I don't drive in the rain much if any and they have absolutely no grip on anything less than 3rd gear in dry weather. Next set will either be toyo r888r or my et street ss

I am using the Toyo r888R's and have had no issues with them during 6 track days and a weekend at the Virginia City Hill Climb. Must have been a bad batch and I plan to buy another set.

What size wheels do you have? I have OE 18/19 Spyders, and run the B-Stones. Excellent tire that was developed specifically for the C6Z.
