Does anyone have any experience with BC Racing BR Adjustable Coilovers available on Ebay? - https://www.ebay.com/itm/BC-Racing-B...1Z1uue&vxp=mtr

Not familiar with these, but for a couple hundred dollars more and you can get QA1 or Aldan American coilovers; which I would look at before these. Just my 2 cents...

They are good, I know two people that used them and had no issues as well. They are good if you are looking to aggressively lower your Vette and do street driving and highway pulls. The more expensive coilovers like pfdat, LG and KW’s are really for those looking to actively take their car to a track. My car is a garage queen so BC coilovers are good with me.

OP let us know if u get them and how u like them after install.... I'm looking to lower mine for mostly aesthetic purposes in the near future....BC racing traditionally has a pretty good rep and at that price those are a good deal IMO

Sounds like he was installing them wrong, as I know 4-5 cars now, and seen them installed at CPR multiple times with zero issues.

^ Kind of figured that to be the case. OP, you have 3 reputable choices all in the ~$1200 range...QA1, Aldan American, and Viking. I wouldn't bother being an experiment with the ebay stuff.

They put the word "Racing" in their item name, as if there is anything "Racing" about them. There was a guy at the track in a BMW with them on. Brand new. They squeaked like hell, had horrible rebound from whatever shitty springs/shock rate they use, were bottoming out and in general made him slower. He actually took a perfectly good suspension and ruined it. They are a below entry level coilover and don't belong on a Corvette. If it is your plan to put them on and then let your car rot in a garage then have at it. I guess they look "cool".
Go with Viking, Aldan, QA1 or LG GT2 for a good entry level coilover for street use with some track.

A lot of you keep bringing up Aldan Coilovers but from my understanding they only drop your car by an inch which to me isn’t a true adjustable coilover like the BC ones are... Also, for the member who said his BC coilovers blew out after 20k miles doesn’t seem that bad to me for those guys that don’t daily drive their car. Personally, I don’t think I will ever reach 20k more miles on my Vette and for $995, that’s a hard deal to pass. BC also sells upgraded springs to add onto their coilover.

Your car though...

Only one guy has chimed in saying they went out at 20k but I have heard people say the same about KW’s and other top brands... Also, 1 or 1.5 inches still may not be low enough for some of us. You can drop your car an inch on stock bolts.

You shouldn't just randomly lower your car to some arbitrary amount that looks cool. It changes the geometry of the suspension, impacts the alignment and can create unforeseen problems when the car is actually driven. Additionally, if you lower the car too much without the correct spring rates you can very easily bottom out the suspension or even the entire chassis. So I guess if you don't care about handling and only how it looks then sure, lower it all you like without care for suspension geometry, proper spring/shock rates, impaired handling, premature shock and ball joint wear etc. Hell, just cut the coils and slam it right to the ground in that case.

As for coilovers...why not get a setup that has been proven by guys that actually use them to race? - LG
You get what you pay for...cheap coils are junk....why degrade your Z like that?
