Any history on the damages and repairs? Flood...I'd run. Collision...Inspect body gaps, inspect wheel gaps, put the car on a lift and inspect everything underneath, take it to a reputable shop in your area that does repairs of this magnitude for a second opinion...

Don't buy it if you don't plan to own it for a while, because you may have a tough time selling it...and hopefully you get a really good deal, or you'll lose $$$ if you do sell it.

I can get the carfax and yes have a friend that runs a body shop. It was not a flood car.
I also thought about taking it to local Chevy dealer to run dignostic testing and check all the wiring etc. Thoughts?

Yes plan on having it for several years.... that’s another thing that worries me.

Only way this works is keeping it for a long time.
Shouldn't cause worry if keeping's your intent.

Conventional wisdom says any car w/ a 'rebuilt' title is ~50% of a comparable car w/ legit title. Know what a legit car's book value is.
Only then can a deal be considered 'good', especially for a 'rebuilt'.

Now's the time to do your due diligence, before $ exchanges hands.
Anything you do, dealer inspection etc, is in your own self interest.

I'm curious what's story behind car being classed 'rebuilt'.
