Stripes or NO Stripes
Never been a fan of them. But I got a 60th anniversary edition. White with grey stripes. Only thing holding me back is that it's actually the anniversary edition. If not they wouldve been gone lol.
What do you guys think ? Keep them or rip them?

We'll, its your vette. Do with it as you wish.
Bur, frankly, you bought a limited number, special edtion vette. It is what it is. Why buy that model, if you don't like the stripes? I'd recommend you preserve the originality and keep the stripes.

yup. I'm fully aware of that. I bought it because it's white. I love white cars. The 60th anniversary was kind of like a plus. Wasn't really looking for that edition in particular. The other whites I was looking at they weren't budging on price and where asking to much considering year. Mileage. Etc.

I'd pull them, but I pull every badge/sticker off of every vehicle that I can. At the end of the day, your VIN still reflects the vehicle, regardless of some decals that may or may not be on it. Just the other day I asked a guy who picked up one of those cars if he was pulling them off, I think they look so much better.

I really like those stripes. I'd leave them. You can always pull them off in the future. But they could be expensive to replace (but I really do not know).

Since I can never leave a car stock, they would have been gone long ago - screw resale value.

I'm not a fan of the white w/grey stripe look myself either...but I'd probably keep them in tact. Buying a replacement set isn't a bad idea though if you go through with the removal.
How many miles on the car? If it spent a lot of time outdoors, there may be some sun fade...which in turn will leave you with "ghost stripes" if you peel them. Probably an extreme example though as most cars are low miles and garage kept.

hahaha well yes. the car is completely stock. 2013 with 3700 miles. climate garaged since day 1 so I doubt there will be ghost stripes. but I'm still going back and forth with the modding. so they shall stay for now I guess. thanks guys

If you bought it for a investment and don't plan to drive it, leave it alone.
However, if you plan to drive and enjoy it, make it look the way you want it to. The investment value will deplete as the miles on the ticker go up.

I kind of bought it with both intentions so I'm pretty torn lol. but realistically. these cars I think will really fetch a lot of value in 30-40 years from now. not anytime soon I think. maybe i'm wrong. i saw one on ebay with 180 miles. they where asking $100k and it never sold. listed a couple times.
