Bought some hood struts from Corvette Mod's, reads clearly on the ad they are Made In America. That's why I bought them. Could have opted for the cheaper ones made in China. Here is the ad.
https://www.corvettemods.com/C6-Corv...r_p_10105.html
So these are clearly made in Asia somewhere. Easy to tell with a Google search and they have Asian writing all over them. Sent him an email last week to find out if he sent me the wrong ones. No reply.

Tougher and tougher to find anything made in USA these days...but if its advertised as such, I expect the product to be as advertised.

I bought a pair of "tinted side markers" from them and they claimed to be factory fit. They did not sit flush with the car and when I tried to return them they said I should have expected they would not fit right as they are aftermarket. It took multiple phone calls and multiple emails before they ended up refunding me. I had to copy and paste the add in an email to show them they advertised it as factory fit. A ton of wasted time spent. Never mind the product was very disappointing quality wise. They just shrink-wrapped tint film over some clear side markers and didn't even bother to trim excess. I spent a lot of time trying to clean it up so that it would fit right but turned out the whole thing was warped. Buyer beware...

So to let you know...I sent them another email asking if they may have just sent the wrong ones as these were clearly made in Asia somewhere, it's been about a few weeks now. Not any kind of response at all. I am however getting about 1-2 emails a week trying to sell me stuff. That has also stopped as they are now going to the spam file.

And that is why you don't waste your money with Corvette Mods. Plenty of other poor reviews out there, should have headed all the warnings.

Bought a set off Amazon. Very inexpensive. Didn't notice where they were made but my mechanic installed them without issue and they work great.

Let me know if you need the link.

Default They were always bad!

I’ve been a forum member for almost thirteen years and was a moderator once upon a time, and the only thing I ever heard about them was BAD! I don’t understand why they are still around. There should be a sticky, listing bad vendors. They would be at the top of the list.

It's not surprising corvette mods continuously gets shitty reviews. Years ago some member here from Texas said they drove to corvettemods place of business thinking he could do some shopping in their store. When he arrived it was an airport hanger and they would not let him in.

I posted a rear pic of my Vette in one of the threads asking about stage 2 spoilers. Corvette mods lifted it then altered the pic to show the spoiler in body color.

This is the original picture I took

Thats a great idea. But I'm sure as a previous moderator you know that will never happen.

To be fair, according to the moderators in the Transaction/Feedback subforum, Corvette Mods was removed as a supporting vendor some time ago. Same thing with Maryland Speed - enough bad transactions and they were axed.
