BD WC CF hood
This has been a nightmare... But finally the hood is being shipped back to me. Allow me to preface this post with the FACT that I did not purchase this hood directly from Black Dog. However, I did purchase the hood from a customer of theirs who is local to them who has spent a lot of coin there. In short... their customer service is severely lacking, i'd go as far as saying non existent. I have dealt with a fella named Chuck. The guy i purchased the hood from had his car sent to BD for them to remove, pack, and ship to me. It had fresh paint and was perfect when it left. It arrived with both corners fractured from the way it was packed.. NOT because of transport. there was literally ZERO damage on the outside of the box. Once opened the hood was resting on the corners
(bottom) with the outside sticker facing up... Most of the bubble wrap was on nose of the hood. Whereas the corners pierced the inside portion of the packaging. BD owned that their packing "or lack "thereof" caused the damage. I offered to have it done here in Dallas at their expense but they were adimate that they wanted it back. Fast forward 6 weeks later it is the guy who repaired, painted it that has communicated with me along with the seller. BD (Chuck) has turned a blind eye to the whole thing. In summary... The hood is being shipped back to me today according to the paint guy, and the seller. Buyer beware if you are considering one of these hoods and you deal with Chuck. He's a truly a piece of work. On to pics of how the "paint guy" packed my hood....

Yea that is a shame. Duly noted on your buddy "Chuck". Looks like that hood shifted inside the packaging. I hope their second attempt yields better results. Sure is a nice hood though.

Anthony... By the looks of how it is packed now they could drag that crate behind the transport and it would arrive in better shape...

Well, what if I told you after all of troubles I went through that in the end I paid $1650 shipped, painted. ( paint alone was $1200)
You tell me.... What hood would you go with?
A $2K copy? That is NOT TRUE CF...? That has fitment issues.
Anderson Composites is nothing like the BDCFWC hood.
In a nutshell, I like the BD hood... Always have. I can afford one so I bought it.. MERCA,MAGA
I'd be willing to bet if you posted in the AutoX/RR section with a poll of which hood those guys would choose in my situation MOST would concur. Just a guess...
