My car next to new ZR1, 10 years apart.
Taken at the Texas Mile this weekend. New ZR1 ran 183 MPH with the wing and 189 without. My ZR1 ran 182.6 stock.

That's amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Also, I will say, the C6Z-cars are aging very nicely. If I do say so myself.

I really don't like the front fender vents on the ZR1. Just looks like a big chunk of black on the body. Your ZR1 is stunning and in one of the best colors. Definitely looks better than the C7 ZR1 in my opinion.

I absolutely hate the new ZR1's front fascia. Looks like a damn goldfish face with that small vent area in the middle.
The C6 ZR1 just looks "right." Simple, clean, functional.

This post just made new ZR1 sales plummet and old ZR1 prices skyrocket hahaha cant believe how close the two are match and the C6 is by far the better looking of the two, and to be clear I do like the C7 Z06.

The C6 ZR1 is timeless and will be a beast no matter what comes out in the future.
I love mine and do not think I will ever giver her up! Especially with only 206 Centennials ever made.

182.6 is right in the range of a C6 ZR1. I have seen them run 178 to 186 at the Texas Mile in 2015, down in Beeville. Not surprised that the C7’s are not much faster, the C7 Z06’s are the same. The C7 platform is not really designed for mid to upper range high speed, although the stated C7 ZR1 top speed is higher than a C6, not so for the C7 Z06 or Z07.
I still think the best value out there today, is a C6 ZR1...just one man’s opinion.

so we have to take off body parts now for better numbers? Keep the C6 Hoping this isn't the first bad news for the new ZR and 'overheating' better not come
Really it's .4 mph to me. Well done C6 ZR1

Remember the new ZR was purpose built for RR specifically. Not drag. Saying that. GM has done 0-60 in 2.85 seconds. 0-100 in 6.0 and 1/4 mile in 10.6 @ 136. Don't know the conditions etc. but that's moving. I love the C6 ZR1's. Don't need a bunch of high tech stuff that breaks. The C7s haven't actually been that reliable since inception of 2014. Sourcing too many parts out of Chinatown doesn't help. The C6s were and still are much better. Although the interiors aren't up to snuff anymore but I don't feel that bothers me (especially for 2018) ( Colbalt steering wheel ) it's the motors and the exterior that makes it the bargain it is. It is NOT a super car but performs like one and still looks cool. 55G will get you a low mile 2009.

I'm C6 ZR1 all the way but you can easily tell what the old gen is obviously. C6 ZR1 would get unnoticed in a pack of exotics. C7 ZR1 wouldn't. SLEEEEPER.
