Default Best tuner in the Midwest

Im kicking around the idea of getting my car retuned and do not know who does good work. I am located in West Michigan but willing to drive a reasonable distance to make sure it’s done right. I have a HCI z06 with a McLeod twin disk clutch and several bolt ons. I’m looking for drive ability and good power across the board but, not a 100% max effort tune. Getting rid of a bit more or the lope and shaking would be great. It already has fairly good street manners but if I can get it in the hands of someone who really knows their stuff I think they could get it close to very close to stock drive ability.

i just had mike norris tune mine, going back friday for a little adjustment but overall night and day diff from when it went in
hci 102/102 full ex c6z
made 589/540

tuners that i know of are as follows in indiana

lingenfelter
mike norris motorsports
david griffin
pro dyno tech (ron)
johnson tuning @ fathouse fabrications
short tuning in western KY
you may give rpm transmissions a call, they have some other guys available too

with this info ill also tell you that EVERY person has a good and a bad experience with a tuner so this will open up a can of worms searching for the "BEST" tuner because that is all opinion
gool luck

There are some reputable tuning shops in the Chicago area - Speed Inc, Straightline Performance, etc. I had a bad experience with Mike Norris tuning my last C5Z.

I would like to avoid having to go back to get anything reworked since I am in West Michigan. Just want to find the “best option” for what I’m going for

i would narrow it down a driving distance then, multiple states vs 2-3 hours drive maybe.

Is it fairly common to have to go back in for adjustments then? I had some buddies big into the Subaru’s and they never seemed to need to go back

Larry at ASSC/LRS performance out of Lake Villa IL is the person I would recommend. He's the "best" IMO.

Andy Wicks at Dynotune USA in Watertown South Dakota is the best tuner hands down in the upper midwest!

I’m very familiar with tuning diesels and know all the top tuners off the top of my head. I was just trying to see if there was one, or a few that really stood out and like in the diesel world.

Greg Banish is in Detroit. If he'll tune your car, you have no reason to go anywhere else.

I'm in West Michigan too. Good luck finding a good tuner. I'm so glad I do my own now! Greg and Dr.phil are supposed to be really good if you can get them to do it. Alternative is good but I only have mustang experience with them. Most tuners will not give your tune the attention you probably want especially for the price you probably want to pay. A great tune is very time consuming.

I'm in west Michigan as well. Good luck finding someone. I know a guy in kzoo who has done some bad *** CTS-v's but he mostly does Big turbo import stuff. I did a remote tune from kohle at AHP, but with adding go fast goodies this winter I need a new tuner...
