Halltech Killer Bee 2 or something, whatever the max effort C5 CAI is from Halltech. My intake is realistically the bigger restriction though

Gotcha...maybe add a "tunnel port". Not sure if Halltech still sells them, but I know plenty of DIY guys that have done them. Cold air straight through the lic plate area to the filter.

I've thought about that, I'm going to see if I can route the air from the fog light ports first

Yep, that works.

I did it back in the day to all my C5's.

I actually routed plastic ducting which I purchased from Menard's (Chicago) - it's a big hardware store just like Lowe's/Home Depot.

You can do it tonight and have it ready for Sunday. Your current tune can handle the extra air; I always tune with a little more fuel for such cases.

Thanks,
Carlos

Here are some juicy items to get your blood pumping.

Avoid paying the dreaded vette tax implemented by others for similar or below expectations results.

Many customers reach the 585 to 610 rwhp on pump gas with the below plus at least phase I heads.

MSD / FAST intake Porting*: $175.00

Vette-Air Scoop: $125.00

The Widow Cam & springs kit: $755.95

Remote tuning**: $200.00

Cam & springs install: $925.00
(includes all fluids, gaskets, bolts and plugs).

Local dyno/street tuning: $500.00

*Send in, drop ship or purchase your intake from us; we would port. No need to go hog wild with the porting. We have our in-house porting and messaging logic - no compromise - no vacuum leaks...just results! Remember, velocity and smooth air flow are the main goals.

**If you or a friend have the HP Tuner software, we can easily remote tune your beast. It is a very easy process...remote access is only available after you provide access code with allowed permission. I will street tune and then dyno tune if you like - all under the same sale price. Another benefit, if you have a wireless stick, I can datalog your runs (Mexico or track) live and adjust.

Thank you in advance for allowing us to serve you

Please click link below for these and other offers.

Thanks,
Carlos

To answer many of the PM questions regarding remote tuning...this is how it works:

- You goto www.vette-air.com
- Choose Remote tuning
- Purchase product
- Upon check out, fill our "spec sheet"
- You and I will agree on date & time
- I will send you link to download for remote access
- Once downloaded (~ a 2min process), you will be given an access code and password. Code changes upon every new visit
- Access password is shared with me only when tuning is ready to begin - it only works after YOU click permission/grant access button on your end. It works sort of like when an I.T agent remotes into your computer during help desk trouble shooting

All you need:

- A laptop
- HP Tuners software...or borrow a friend's
- WiFi connection (wireless stick works fine)
- Choose your favor dyno location if you like to dyno verify
- Choose your favor datalogging location for street tuning
- Have a wideband if you like. Some guys purchase cigarette lighter powered units, or simply rely on the dyno WB

That's it; very simple. You sit back and relax while I do all the work. I can also tune late at night to work around your working schedule

Please feel free to ask any questions. I can also be reached via cell Mon-Fri 10am to 6pm OR Sat 10am to 2pm ALL CT zone.

Thanks,
Carlos

That's how Vararam does it for the C5...maybe see if you can find one somebody junked and cut it up to suit your needs.
