45k for a zr1?
When do you guys think the cost of a c6 zr1 will
dip into the mid 40s? I’ve found some good deals for 50-52 but would they ever dip to mid 40s soon?

There are some higher mileage ones (over 50k miles) for mid-40s now.
I can't speak to the overall condition of those cars, but if they are mechanically sound and owned by someone who takes meticulous care...it'd be a good buy.

Melting Slicks
There have been a few down into the 40s with high mileage, and not in the best condition.
I don't see nice, low mileage ones getting into the 40s any time soon if at all.

i don't think you really want a 45k zr1. it's the bottom of the market. at the same time it's the top of the market in c6z06. take a guess on which vehicle you will get in better shape and have a more rewarding experience

havent had the best with the z06 but it’s my fault picking the wrong tuner..... I just love how the zr1 means king and has ceramic brakes super charger etc built to handle power etc

I would absolutely put you Z06 back to stock and pick up a ZR1 in good condition. Its a better call for what you want then the plans you have been talking about.

Im** just gonna have the btr4 cam in it for now and if I do decide I’ll just put the stock cam and cats back on and get a tune and go on my ways. But we’ll see it would be some time anyways before I can purchase a zr1 unless I can get a deal for 45k out the door

Yeah, I didn't pay anywhere close to $45k for my 500 mile, in showroom condition, ZR1 a few months ago. LOL

i've been around corvette since 2000 and it's always been this way. bottom of the market cars cost you more in the long run with repairs and they are a less rewarding experience. paint is rough. interior is too. little annoyances.
you can get just a mint c6 z06 for 40k. spend 5k on heads/cam/headers and have the mint car and tire smoking performance.
at 45k what can you really get in a zr1? it's probably similar to a 45k GTR and i saw one of those the other day as well. 95k miles. chipped up front end. coffee stain on the carpet.

My 55k mile (when purchased) ZR1 was $48k, but I imagine it was an anomaly. The only issue I’ve had in 3000 miles is the common blown cat; replaced under warranty.

I went corvetteless for about a year while I searched the new to me right corvette. I actually was targeting the C7ZO6, but found a mint 2010 ZR1 for under 59K with 3000 miles.
Im happy being in the king of the hill family even if the new ZO6 makes more power.

Cars can have more power, but nothing looks like the c6 ZR1!
