Absolutely. My plan is anywhere from 700-750rwhp eventually. Not planning on doing any performance mods within the next year though. I want to focus on some aesthetics like changing out the stock head unit, steering wheel, tint the windows. I'd say by middle of next year I can start modding it performance-wise.

Do they have E85 in your area Dan? I've seen otherwise stock ZR1's add a CAI, flex fuel for E85, and dyno tune increase rwhp by 80+.

Buy a c6ZR1, C7Z, or similar. Come to the realization that displacement is where it is at. Go back to 427 or c6z. Ask me how I know.

I went from a C6 Z to a ZR1 and I would never go back.
Why is displacement "where it is at?"

Displacement is nice, but I'd rather be blown!

If I were to spend $50k or more on a Corvette it would be the C6ZR1. That would be without modding it, then add $8K-$10K for HCIE/Ported Blower/Upper & Lower Pulley's (750-800 rwhp). Then later throw on a 200-300 shot.

I went the C6Z route, roughly $30k and then $6k-$8k in HCIE and I will be roughly at 600 rwhp. Due to weight my Z should hold her own against a 650 rwhp or so ZR1.

It depends on what you want to spend and what you want. You want a C6 ZR1? Get one and enjoy it.

Having owned several Mustang Cobras, my friends would say it just looks like any Mustang. I think the same could be said of any Camaro or Challenger. If you are driving a daily driver which most of us do, people can't tell the difference from a base to a loaded model. That being said, all these cars perform above street limits. Get what car makes you FEEL better. I honestly was thinking of selling my 06Z and getting a used 07Z. Instead I am dropping about 6k into it hoping for 520 rwhp an keeping it.

It's actually the other way around, due to the TQ delivery of the LS9 vs a peaky H/C LS7. You need to compare cumulative power throughout the WOT powerband vs. peak numbers.

Just traded my 997.1 Turbo for an 08 Z06, i have every intention of building it out to be a beast with the leftover cash, thus far it's the best decision I've made. 911's are fun, but lack *****. Stay far away from Nissan, horrible customer service. If you have a daily, grab a new C7 Z06.
