I have a transmission fluid leak that emanates from the very top of the transmission. I have read about a transmission vent in another forum message. Where exactly is the vent located on the transmission?

Its right on the top/side edge near the "shifter detent" on the passenger side. The tube is a semi-rigid black plastic and is about 8-10 inches long. It travels forward and curves upwards just slightly and has a small white filter on it. There is a little bracket on the end near the filter that bolts it to the top of the trans.
