Default What color for ZR1 style rear spoiler?

The standard ZO6 rear spoiler look like an afterthought to me. I’m going to get a ZR1 style spoiler, but can’t decide if I should go with a matte black, like the standard one or go with with one painted the same as my car, machine silver? Looking for opinions and especially pictures of both. Thanks for any and all input!

So, the Centennial Edition ZR1 came with a matte black spoiler? I didn’t know that. Learn something new everyday!

Go with the C7 Carbon Extended ZR1 spoiler. I think they're one of the better looking ones for the C6:

I second the C7 Carbon piece. Here it is on my car... However, I recently sold this piece.

no. flat as in the shape of the lip on the spoiler. the standard zr1 spoiler is notched in the middle like above.

Does anyone have pictures of a machine silver Vette with either black or machine silver ZR1 style spoiler?

Plenty of examples on Google. Just image search "Machine silver ZR1 spoiler". There are even some with a black ZR1 spoiler. I prefer the contrast, but its all personal preference.

Thanks, that was very helpful! But now I’m more confused then before, black, silver and carbon fiber all look great.

Decisions, decisions

Haha, it's definitely tough! Do you plan on getting side skirts or a front splitter? If so, I would go with black or CF. Otherwise, body color might be better.

Thanks for all the opinions and advice. My plans are for the spoiler only, and I’m leaning towards a body colored one.

If you are getting the rear spoiler only then I would avoid carbon fiber and go with the body color spoiler. A blacked out (carbon fiber or matte black) spoiler on a car that has no other blacked out accents would look odd. If you were going to go for a ZR1 style front splitter and side skirts then I'd say definitely get the CF spoiler as well.

I have a ZR1 style spoiler painted in machine silver. I ended up switching to a carbon spoiler since I have everything else in carbon to match. PM me if interested. Located in San Diego.
