Some pictures of the Isky Solid Roller Lifters. These are double offset to help the 7/16” pushrods clear. I went with the optional EZ Roll bronze bushings in the wheels. These also feature forced pin oiling.

Well I do consider myself a bit of an ath-a-lete

I can't wait either. Parts will start going on first week of September. Really looking forward to working with Ryne on the tune.

I've used 3 different valve spring compressors for working on LS7 heads. None of them were designed for LS7 heads, so all had to be modified and were really less than ideal. None of them are photogenic if you know what I'm saying.

But I just picked up this LSM Products Valve Spring Compressor that fits my T&D rocker stands perfectly. Very happy with this new tool. I removed two of my springs almost one-handed.

That is a really nice valve spring compressor! Do you think that tall of a piece would work doing a wiggle test?

High dollar heads deserve a high dollar spring compressor! I have a wine opener that kinda looks like that...

LSM makes great tools, I used the SC 167 when I did my springs, well worth twice the money as the junk spring compressors

It's designed to be used with the heads still mounted to the engine so I don't think it would be a problem at all. It's a really nice piece.

it seriously makes changing the valve springs a breeze. I had the comp/ crane version and sent it back the same day, it was absolute junk, stripped out on the second valve spring

Looking great Josh. It's getting closer! Man you gotta be getting anxious (in a good way).

And agreed on the LSM tool. Really wish I had bought it sooner than I did. I let my buddy borrow my junk comp version and he never returned it. Prompted me to buy another one so I went with LSM. Just did my routine spring swap about a week ago and it was a walk in the park. I thanked my buddy for stealing that POS after using this one.

I'm very anxious! I'm hoping things will be ok in terms of Piston-to-valve clearance. There's no guarantees at this level so I'll be very careful with measurements, specifically the radial PTV clearance. The Wiseco pistons have very generous valve reliefs but the All Pro valve position shifts the placement of the valve .080" north on the piston face, plus the intake valves are larger diameter than previous, so radial clearance will be tight. I'll be measuring it very soon. Hopefully there's a minimum of .050" there. Based off of previous PTV, and some quick math, it's going to be almost exactly .050" I'm guessing. Very anxious indeed. I don't really want to pulling the block out of the car and deal with the pistons right now, but I knew it was a possibility all along so it's not a surprise or anything. Lots of great advice from Anthony at HPR on the subject. If it comes down to it he can custom order me some wiseco pistons of the exact weight and correct valve pocket placement so they would basically drop in to my ERL shortblock.

You will have to see but I think you will find the Weisco piston generous valve relief should give you the clearance you need - subject to the increased diameter of the valve. I think if I remember right they are like another .100+ more than stock.

Checking the rocker stand height today. The process required the removal of one of the rocker bodies from the shaft, then using a provided gauge to determine if the correct height was there.

Mine was flush on the valve tip and the rocker so we are good. Got to tip my hat to both WCCH and T&D for precision maching here. Two different machining operations. Still a perfect fit.

Some serious no joke parts in this thread. Almost like art work to be honest. When do we anticipate the first start up?

Thanks. I really admire the engineering that went into some of these parts. It will be a few weeks. We have a newborn now and my dissertation is keeping me busy, but I'm putting time into the project whenever I can.
