Default Front Turn Signal Bulb Replacement

Hi All,

Anyone ever changed one of the front headlight turn signal bulbs before? Noticed one of mine is out so that side blinks faster than it normally does. Any help would be appreciated!

There's a rubber flap behind the wheel that's held with push clips. Remove that and you'll have access to the turn headlights and turn signals. If you have big arms & hands it'll be tons easier to jack up the car real quick just to change it. I fought with myself trying to change it without the jack and can't get my arm in there so it literally took me 1min to get the jack out and lift it up with 3 pumps and made it tons easier.

Make sure you turn your steering wheel so your tire is pointing towards the opposite side of the car. Provides much better access to the flap mentioned by pdc.

I jacked up the car and also removed the wheel. I have 19" wheels on the front. Overal it was easy to do.

I just did this a few weeks ago. I have low mechanical acumen but it only took me about 10 minutes per side. I did cut the sht out of my thumb because I had the wrong tool to pry the pins out (thank you steristrips). I now own the correct tool

There's an excellent youtube video on this topic if you do a simple google search.

Good luck, don't cut yourself

BTW, I recommend you replace both sides at the same time. Bulbs are usually sold in pairs and you want them to match. I had a C6 behind me the other day with two different colors/brightnesses of DRLs. It was pretty funny. The only way to guarantee a match in brightness and color is to replace both sides at the same time. Besides, if one went out, the other side is probably not that far behind.
