Default How to test Nick Williams Tb??

Found this guy selling a used NW102 on fb and I will be meeting him up to check it out. Any way to test it if I don’t have my z with me? Maybe with a battery?

Here's the video he sent of what's sketching me out, anyone ever seen huge lettering on the blade?

Always a crap shoot on used parts. If its a long standing forum member there's a lot less chance of them hustling you. New member you roll the dice. Same on ebay. Craigslist

yeah I know, I’ve been googling pictures of the nw102 and none of them have big lettering on the blade like this one. He’s selling it for 350. Price is enticing but I don’t know..

No one sells a used NW for that price unless it trashed. There is a mfg. that makes one that looks like a NW. Be careful.

I have a brand new one at home still in the box. I will look at it tonight and see if it is marked in any way. Look on ebay and you will see the china made cheap ones.

if you could do that and maybe even upload good clear pictures that would be great obviously the only reason i'm interested is because the price is great but i'm being cautious

dont know about anyone else, but I'd love to see some pictures. I'm in the market for a used 102 and have also wondered about the Ebay specials. I've even seen some sites selling NW 102 with the exact same photo as the $200 ebay specials! Somebody's lying here lol

Default NW 102 Pics.

After looking all over my NW 102 I don't see any markings on it. As a matter of fact the only thing that says NW is the UPS label. Here are some pics. of it.

Hey Guys I have question i have 102mm Throttle body from my Friend i Think is a Chinese edition if i Take this on MY Car with Ignition On and without Starting the Engine and If i give Full Throttle i become a Failure P1516 engine Check.

The Car has no Tune for this Throttle body its that normal because i don't have a tune or is the Throttle e body faulty

Thanks Guys

If you're not tuned for it, yes you will need get a code but only when the engine is on and you go to WOT.

That code with the engine off is from the TAC module and is caused by a bad TPS (at least mine was). Can also be a bad MAP sensor or loose wire in the connector or bad grounds. It's usually a TPS though.

Clear the code then turn the key off, next turn the key back to run but do not start the car. Press the accelerator pedal slowly and see what happens, once you get to WOT, it should throw code again, if so, TPS

Also the thorttelbody is not tuned for this car I drive stock one I delete this failure and if I turn the ignition without starting the engine I can see thorttel body position also 25~-82 percent but if I put the thorttel full the failure comes again always

That's what mine was doing when the TPS went bad. The crappy thing is that you cannot replace the throttle position sensor on that TB.

There's no tuning to the TB, the pcm has to be tuned for the increased airflow and that's a different error, unexpected airflow code.
Your error comes at WOT which is the TPS misreading throttle position, it's got a bad tps.
