Rear end knocking noise
2009 zr1, 11000 miles, rear knocking noise only after it’s warmed up, over bumps slow speeds, can put it in neutral and go over bumps and still hear it, I jacked it up, couldn’t see anything, not the Exhaust that I could tell, next day not there until it gets warmed up, help.

Could it be your sway bar end links? I know they were a problem on base models and Z06, so I'd assume same issue on the King. They wear out and make popping noises when you go over bumps. Very easy to change, I got mine from RockAuto and went with the Moog replacements (K750136 I believe). Got them the next day even though I didn't request expedited shipping. They were cheaper than Amazon for OEMs.

Really need to get it up on a lift and inspect everything. Hard to check everything while laying on the ground. Did you try wiggling the exhaust tips side to side and up/down to see if it hits then? The over axle pipes are close sometimes to the frame.

Really don’t think it’s in the front and can hear it clack when I back up over a bump going in to the garage With the front end on smooth pavement, Will get it on a rack soon , Double checked the exhaust it seems to not be hitting anything thanks for the reply’s.

Burning Brakes
Yep, links and sway bar - I have had mine replaced and/or tightened over the years. I have a Z but I am pretty sure it is the same set up.

Just a update, finally got the car on a rack and the left exhaust had backed out about an inch where in connects in front of the rear axle, also the left rear plastic brake vent in front of the wheel was super loose, don't know if was causing the knock but it it is gone!! I'm saying exhaust.
